Workshop objectives

Focus of this workshop is on activities related to Working Group 3 “Process and Service life modelling”.

The following topics will be addressed:
(1)    Understanding the impact of different environmental conditions on the quality of the material to enable the prediction of service life and products performance.
(2)    Development of adequate models for description of the changes in material properties under various processes and conditions.
(3)    The existing dose-response functions used for (treated) materials should be discussed and eventually altered to comply with the modified material properties.

Key words that can be used for papers/presentations:
Service life prediction, Dose-response functions, Experimental validation of models, Numerical simulation of material changes during ageing, Virtual processing, Quality assessment methods
